I read Beth’s blog post on Twitter tools with interest as she always has new and interesting tools and techniques. I decided to investigate Crowdbooster. It gives me a “tweet-level analysis” to understand the exact performance metrics of individual tweets — all within a user-friendly, colour-coded screen that quickly and simply highlights my best tweets and areas for improvement. It calculates the total reach of a given tweet, which includes all the followers of the people who retweeted them, and displays it on a scatter plot. It also shows replies and retweets for each tweet sent out. This does not always make pleasant reading but it has acted as a reminder that I need to refocus my marketing message and take twitter seriously.

I really like the interface which gives me both a broad overview of activity and detailed insights to the scope of my social influence at the same time.

Retweets versus People Reached

The 5 main advantages I see with Crowdbuster are:

  1. It’s Free for 1 Twitter account and 1 Facebook account

  2. It allows me to analyse the performance of your individual tweets with an interactive graph and table to quickly understand what worked and what didn’t.

  3. It encourages me to pay attention to my analytics and allow them to guide my posting efforts.

  4. I can also quickly and easily identify my top retweeters, and which tweets I made that resonated the most with my audience.

  5. It has made me refocus my activity and stop messing around.
