There is a lot of confusion, frustration and even anger about the new changes on Facebook. Many people have contacted us to help them get control over their Profile, Privacy, Photos

Their are 4 main changes

1. Facebook is giving you a scrapbook of your life- Timeline

This is a timeline of everything you have shared about  your life up to now.The problem as Facebook sees it is that most of the stories you share with your friends disappear and are replaced with new information. If you miss the post where your friend share their holiday stories or best night out, you have to search thru all the older posts. That takes ages and ages…..

Timeline collects all the stuff you have already shared and stores it one place. (So think about what you share )

This link gives you a first look at the new Timeline

2. You can do more than Like something

Liking will be sooo last year (or last month in Facebook’s world).Facebook believe  that when you click Like ,you may have just  “Listened” to a song or “Watched” a video, rather than simply liking it. That’s why Facebook will be rolling out “Watched,” “Listened” and “Read” buttons.

3. Facebook apps need only ask permission once to share stories on your behalf.

This is one of the biggest changes in my opinion. Up to now,  all the apps had to ask every time they shared information about you in your profile. Now, the first time you authorize the app, it will tell you what it’s going to share about you. If you agree to this the app never has to ask your permission again.

But you don’t have to worry about this app stuff clogging your news feed, because …

4. All “Random” information is going to the Ticker.

Sometimes you miss something important on your news feed, photos of a friends wedding, changes in relationship status because  the feed is clogged up with who planted what in Farmville or some random information from an app that you have shared with. This will change in the new Facebook.  All of that information will be displayed in o the Ticker, a real-time list of things your friends are posting now that scrolls down the side of your screen.
